First the waterfall, then the river. The day opens with a guided hike on forest trails that end at a waterfall with a clear pool, and yes, you can get in.
After the swim the pace drops. Coyote Spot is a quiet riverside corner of the reserve, with free time by the water to sit, wander, or do nothing in particular. Your naturalist guide stays with you throughout, naming wildlife and plants and explaining what Aquetzalli protects.
A traditional Costa Rican lunch is included, made with local ingredients.
