Terms of service

These terms describe how booking an experience with Puma Expeditions works. They apply to requests made through this website.

Requests are not bookings

Sending a request through this site does not reserve anything and does not charge you. It reaches our team, who confirm availability and reply with a quote, normally within one business day. A booking exists only once we confirm it in writing.

Prices

Prices shown are the total for the group, not per person, and depend on your pickup point. The figure on the site is an estimate; the price in your written quote is the one that applies. Prices are in US dollars.

What is included

Each experience lists what it includes and what to bring. Anything not listed is not included.

Cancellations

The cancellation terms for each experience are shown on its page and form part of your confirmation. Experiences inside national parks follow SINAC rules: entrance fees are non-refundable, and dates can be changed up to 7 days before the activity.

Safety and fitness

Some experiences involve hiking, water or uneven terrain, and list a difficulty level. Tell us in advance about medical conditions, mobility needs or ages so we can advise honestly on whether an experience suits you. Guides may modify or stop an activity when weather or conditions make it unsafe.

Weather

Costa Rica gets rain. Experiences generally run in the rain. If conditions make an activity unsafe, we reschedule or refund the affected portion.
